Other positives include the cinematography, which at times gave the film an eerie mood that, presumably intended, symmetrical exterior shots of the facility and its surroundings had a horror genre feel. Also, some of the performances were solid, notably Maisie Williams and Charlie Heaton, mostly) but I am yet to see proper range from him as an actor, perhaps that's my fault for having not seen him in enough different roles. Even Henry Zaga as Roberto was surprisingly good, though his character had less creative attention paid towards him, unfortunately. The other cast members though were not as good with their performances.

Magik sister of Colossus as well as Cannonball, Sunspot, Wolfsbane, Daniel Moonstar, Cecilia Reyes getting their own chapter itself is so good. The highlight for sure is Magik vs. Demon Bear in the dimensional world as well as the real world is going to steal the show. So the Demon Bear gets stronger by feeding on someone's fear. What does Maisie say at 21:17. C'mon guys just release it on Disney. There is no way that it's gonna come out in August and we are all sick of waiting. This looks like a fun movie and we all just want to see it. I mean you guys referenced the fact that it keep getting delayed but if it gets delayed again the fact that you joked about it will make it more embracing than funny.

The visual effects, for the most part, were also good, as well as the scenes where characters use their powers, unfortunately, these are few and far between. I would've loved to see more of Heaton in action as Sam, but the film tended to stay away from big action until the climax. This admittedly was likely a creative decision in an attempt to make this film different from a usual comic-book movie, which it certainly is, to its credit. This though is happening more and more often, with films like Joker venturing into other genres with deeper themes and darker issues.
